Making exciting inclusive theatre productions, Tropical Arts Association Inc is a not-for-profit community theatre group in Cairns. Actors range in age from under 4 to 80 years old and come from all walks of life. Professional Theatre Makers work with the community to make highly creative, collaborative works.

The aim of the group is to make theatre opportunities available to anyone and everyone – professional artists or enthusiastic community participants.

Since the association started in 2008 there have been over 10,000 people attend performances which are designed to make the works of William Shakespeare relevant and real to contemporary audiences, particularly in tropical North Queensland.
